About the Role

Our company is looking for a dedicated professional to oversee all business development efforts, from channel strategy to execution, within the retail industry. This individual will generate leads, foster relationships with potential and/or existing channel partners and clients, and create and implement sales growth strategies that increase penetration for the channel.

As liaison with Marketing and Product Development teams, you will help refine our channel-specific products and solutions. This role will report to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and will be expected to think strategically and apply leadership and mentorship skills to drive highly disciplined channel growth strategies. You will be accountable for quantitative revenue capture results as well as qualitative measures related to client satisfaction.

You’re excited about this opportunity because your commitments are to…

  • Work hand-in-hand with the CCO, to drive and/or attend sales calls, and provide all necessary support.
  • Work cross-functionally within the organization to set up new customers; fully define and own that holistic process.
  • Identify and engage with the right trade organizations and/or trade events to grow brand awareness, find opportunities within the market, and drive incremental channel revenues.
  • Develop sub-channel and customer-specific value propositions leveraging our SaaS portfolio and/or custom solutioning capabilities to maximize customer conversion rates.
  • Ensure all customer plans and activities are aligned with the organization’s Annual Strategic Initiatives & Key Projects.
  • Additionally, lead and own projects that will be assigned by the CCO as business needs evolve.
  • Drive and achieve continual measurable results against goals and year-over-year sales growth.
  • Travel as needed to secure new business.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or 5-10 years of relevant work experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in selling within the retail industry.
  • Proven record managing revenue targets, with a strong desire to consistently overachieve against both personal targets and objectives.
  • Experience in strategic sales planning and implementation, including experience in  pipeline management.
  • Experience in a direct sales environment exclusively focused on generating new business.
  • Must be exceptionally detailed-oriented and organized.
  • Independent, self-driven individual with true ability to own and build vs. just manage.
  • Creative with an aggressive desire for continuous improvement both in business and personally.
  • Power user of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.) and lead management systems (such as HubSpot).

Benefits & Compensation:

  • Comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, life, accident & disability insurance.
  • 401k with match.
  • Annual compensation ranging from $120,000 to $250,000 per year, based on relevant experience, geography and qualifications.
  • This is a fully remote role, qualified candidates anywhere in the U.S. are encouraged to apply.
